KIWIS ALL READY TO GET HOOKED TO THE DIGITAL TV

The New Zealand government recently declared the switch over to digital TV. This apart though there was also an interesting revelation made of some statistics.

Almost all of the New Zealand homes have TV, round about 98% of them. A large chunk of this population has already switched over to digital TV getting satellite broadcast directly home through either Sky TV or for that matter Freeview.
None the less, there is variation the regions of the country,.

Looking for LCD wall mounts? Clearly-AV offers you a huge range of LCD wall mounts along with other audio visual accessories.

Some regions have greater population subscribing to the digital services while others have a relatively lesser percent of the population. If West Coast has the highest percent (81%) then Manawatu/ Wanganui has a relatively lesser 62%.

None the less these are the following dates of the digital TV roll out in the various regions of the county. September 2012 Hawke’s Bay and the West Coast, April 2013: Rest of the South Island, September 2013: Lower North Island, Taranaki and Gisborne and November 2013: Rest of the North Island. Sky would be a major player here and plus when compared with Freeview they have a much stronger global presence or for that matter, budget.
